Equity Dealer
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Equity Dealer with a strong track record in equity dealing for an investment fund. This role is pivotal, necessitating an unwavering commitment to intellectual integrity and trustworthiness. You will be working closely with the fund manager to execute trades accurately and timely, ensuring alignment with investment strategies and objectives, and adhering to all the regulatory standards defined under SEBI’s Code of Conduct for compliance as required.
Role Specifications
- Generate trades as per the model portfolio using software and Excel.
- Execute trades on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with their investment goals and strategies.
- Ensure optimal execution prices and minimal market impact.
- Calculate and report client-level variances with system support.
- Implement and adhere to risk management practices to protect client portfolios from excessive risk.
- Follow instructions of the fund manager accurately while maintaining clear communication.
- Maintain and leverage connections with market sell-side dealers to gather market intelligence.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge of market systems and trading strategies.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance trading processes and outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a PMS or AIF setup.
- A bachelor’s degree along with NISM certification is required, and a master’s degree from a top-tier institution is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and other market systems.
- Strong understanding of trade generation and execution.
- Precision in trade execution and monitoring to avoid errors and discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, brokers, and team members.
- Quick and effective decision-making skills in fast-paced trading environments.
- Strong numerical skills for calculating variances, trade sizes, and performance metrics.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements related to trading and portfolio management.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting for trading systems.
- Handling the pressure and stress of fast-paced trading environments.
- At least 3 reference checks should mandatorily be provided.
